GDS release the Training for Survey Socio-economic in Timor-Leste

Díli 17 may 2022, General Directorate of Statistics with their partnership release the training for survey socio-economic impact of covid-19 Pandemic in Timor-Leste.
This training started at 17-23 may 2022 in GDS computer room, 12 researcher who participated, the Formers, included the Expert from UNDP, ABS, BPS and World Bank.
“The survey of socio-economic impact, or High Frequency Household phone survey – HiFy for regular monitoring of socio-economic impact of covid-19 pandemic in Timor-Leste is the continuity of survey SEIA in 2021” (speech by coordinator).
In the opening of Mr. Silvino Lopes Respresentative of General Director of GDS, this survey is called HiFy survey and has a new method like use telephone to contact with our respondent, this is a great strategy, because we don’t waste our time to visit them to find the information that we need.
We would like to doing this Household Telephone survey or use the CATI, it’s very important to GDS and our Country, because for the first time we use the telephone for survey after 20 years Restoration our Independence.
Encorage the participant or Researcher to concetrate because many of researcher that take part of this activity is expirienced in many survey.
